Customer Reviews

This has got to be my favorite album of all time. And I've had plenty of albums over the decades-- both in the states and in Israel. But I can't fully enjoy any of them. Either women are singing, or the message has nothing to do with what I believe as a Jew, or the singers are corrupt with money and drugs and a faulty value system. So I really can't enjoy anything. Then came this album and it's as fresh and interesting and as complete as any album could be. It's a wonder that the songs receive air play on the secular stations and that the album is on the front racks at record and book shops in Israel. But then again it's only natural. The album has universal messages to any Jew-- whether or not he is in touch with his Judaism or not. It's about a relationship with our G-d, the fight to keep being good, the struggle to harness our inner energies. If this sounds cliche or metaphysical-- it's not. The songs nessages are entirely fresh and are accesable to any Jew. The songs are sung as only an actor would know how to sing them. The session players and guest artist are from Israel's finest. This album brings all the production qualities of a top quality American secular album, with all the purity and good sense of a Bresslover Jew. The result is an album with absolutely none of the flaws of the hundreds of album I've had in the past-- and leaving only the good stuffs. Candy for the ears and Omega 3 for the heart and soul. By the way, the photos in the lyric booklet are outrageous!  Yehoshua Cirt in Kedumim
