Bides Esther Ofarims "Live in Tel Aviv" my favorite CD. All songs are recorded from Live Performances these days, you will find her traditional Ivrit songs together with American Evergreens, Jazz, Blues as well as Ladino Songs and you will be amazed to discover a new Esther. Her Jazzy Songs are as good as Ella Fitzgerald, the way she sing the Blues beats even the way Billy Holidays used to sing the Blues and the way Esther sings traditional Ladino Songs stand for a unique royal class of her own, but the way she puts all her soul and her heart into singing her traditional Ivrit Songs, is something you can not describe, because if you have never seen and heard her in a Live concert performing, I truly believe that you have missed something in live, therefore I only can recommend, if you have the chance to visit one of her rare concerts she still gives thes days, you will be more than amazed, what ever she sings, she puts magic into all songs, escecially in the quiet, poetic Ivrit songs, you get a glimpse of eternity and heaven.
